Plants

I’ve recently been gifted a couple of lovely plants over the past few months. One is a potted fern and the other a snake plant. Both are beautiful and add such brightness to the room. I do wish I had a greener thumb. I worry often and hope I’m not over watering them.

I love plants. I instantly feel at ease when I walk into a house and see flower pots on window sills. Perhaps it’s an innate instinct. You see, if you’re the type of person who will take time to care for and nurture plants, then you’re my type of friend. And there’s nothing like some greenery to brighten a winter day!

In the summer time our yard is an oasis of beautiful trees and shrubs from previous owners, and our magnolia tree is the queen of them all.

Note: Since writing this blog post, my fiddle fig tree is looking a little tired, just tonight Aidan accidentally hit it with his basketball and two of the leaves fell off. I’ve been googling tips for care but they are a finicky plant at the best of times, so I’m afraid it may be down for the count! If you have tips please send them my way.
