Happy February!

First of all, congrats on making it through the longest January ever! How does one month last that long?? I mean every time I checked the calendar it seemed to still be the middle of the month. I’m betting February will fly by in the blink of an eye, especially because we have a trip to Florida coming up that I’m not ready for at all!

So, seeing as it’s February - I’ve got to decide about decorating for Valentine’s Day. Honestly I still have some Christmas decor up on my mantle.  I know people who still have their trees up! I love it! But for me, February 1st is probably past time to put it away.

I don’t normally feel the desire to decorate for other holidays besides Christmas, but this year I think I may jump on the heart day train. I’m not going to go crazy, just a few tasteful touches: pink flowers, some candles and a bowlful of cinnamon hearts can brighten any room. Plus, a new Dollarama just opened in Pictou. I will have to swing by for some inspiration.

A great idea is to go onto Pinterest and find free printable Valentines inspired  art that you can print on a color printer and frame! I love this one I found!

A couple of years ago we used buttons and burlap to make sweet little “Valentines Frame” I spotted on Instagram. I take it out at this time each year.
